Re-Use Process

Receiving Shipments

The discharger provides information concerning the weight and number of skids to be shipped to the PPC warehouse. The shipment can then be scheduled and delivered to PPC Recycling. Upon arrival all bulk bags are entered into PPC's inventory tracking system and prepared for the recycling process.

Inspection Process

PPC Recycling
offers a standard service that includes a thorough visual inspection by our highly trained staff. Bags are inspected for tears, seam integrity, strap reliability, document pouch condition, cleanliness, and conductivity.

Cleaning Process

Our standard cleaning begins with an inflation process. Bags are filled with air in order to remove all creases and folds where residual matter may be deposited. Next the bags are subjected to a vacuuming process that removes most remaining residual matter.

Reconditioning

Reconditioning includes replacing tie straps, document pouches, and minor holes. Standard repair consists of patching holes up to an agreed upon size along with other minor damage.

Inventory Tracking

Inventory tracking is conducted using a barcode system. Data for each individual bag includes: number of recycles (bag specific), types of repairs made on each trip, dedicated customer/product tracking, and reason for rejection if applicable.

Reporting

Data from the inventory system is collected and reported. This allows for corrective measures to be taken to increase the life cycle of the bag. Monthly and quarterly quality summaries can also be provided at customer request.

Outgoing Shipments

PPC Recycing will ship the refurbished bulk bags back to the raw material supplier through their shipping company of choice.
